How we look after your information.

When you place an order at PlateUp, we collect details required to fulfill it, including the items you choose, your contact name, phone number, and either a pickup time or a delivery address. Payment is processed by our payment provider. We never see your full card number.

When you browse the menu without ordering, we collect a small set of anonymous usage signals so we can keep the site responsive and find where it slows down.

The data we hold is used for one thing only, running the trattoria. Specifically:

• Preparing and routing your order to the kitchen and the right station.
• Sending you order status updates over SMS or email if you opted in.
• Confirming reservations or pickup windows by phone when needed.
• Investigating disputed charges, refunds, or service issues.
• Improving menu pacing, kitchen flow, and the digital experience.

We set a small number of first-party cookies to keep your cart in place between visits, remember your last theme choice, and tell our analytics what is a return guest versus a new one. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

We share data with our payment provider to charge your order, our SMS and email vendor when you opt in to status updates, and our delivery partner when you choose delivery. Each of those vendors receives the smallest slice of information required to do their job.

We never sell your information to advertisers, marketers, or data brokers.

Order history is retained for seven years to satisfy bookkeeping and tax requirements. Marketing email lists are retained until you unsubscribe. Cart contents and theme preferences live in your browser and clear when you clear site data.

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate details, or ask us to delete your account and related order history (subject to legal retention windows). Reach us by email at ciao@plateup.example.

PlateUp is a family restaurant, but the digital ordering site is not intended for use by children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the site, contact us and we will remove it.

When we materially change how we handle your information, we update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, post a notice on the home page. The current version is always available at this URL.
